In GUJCOST (Gujarat Council on Science & Technology, a state agency of Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi) funded project titled, "Development of Visible Light Sensitive Inexpensive Thin film Photocatalysts for removal of Heavy Metal Ions from Drinking Water".

Eligibility: M.Sc. or M.Sc (Tech)  in either of following branches: Physics, Applied Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanotechnology or similar disciplines

Recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (3 positions) under following projects:

There are three JRF positions which will be filled under Solar Research & Development Center (SRDC), PDEU in following projects. The position is initially for one year and extendable for two more years based on the performance. All the projects will start no later than July 1, 2023.

Project -1: Development of Cost Effective Negative Electrode Material for Na ion Battery

​

Eligibility: M.Sc. from a recognized University in either of the following disciplines: Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanotechnology. / M.Tech. in Chemical Engg./Mechnical Engg.

Desirable skill: Experience in solution chemistry, thin film, bulk and nano-material preparation, vacuum techniques, modern analytical techniques and tools used in materials science. Previous working knowledge on battery characteristics will be an added advantage.

 

Project -2: Development of electrolyzer and 2D van der Waals hetero-structures for water splitting

Eligibility: M.Sc. from a recognized University in either of the following disciplines: Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Nanotechnology. / M.Tech. in Chemical Engg./Mechnical Engg.  .

Desirable skill: Experience in solution chemistry, thin film, bulk and nano-material preparation, vacuum techniques, modern analytical techniques and tools used in materials science. Hands-on experience in fabrications of working model/ prototypes will be added advantage.

 

Project -3: High energy density electrode material and Solid electrolyte for Li-ion Battery

Eligibility: M.Sc. from a recognized University in either of the following disciplines: Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanotechnology. M.Tech. in Chemical or Mechanical Engg.

Desirable skill: Experience in solution chemistry, thin film, bulk and nano-material preparation, vacuum techniques, modern analytical techniques and tools used in materials science.  Previous working knowledge on battery characteristics will be added advantage.
